Tower Log, 1942–1945

The Control Tower’s daily operations log, scanned one day at a time and organized by month. Many months are missing or partial due to water damage to the original logs.

About the Tower Log

Tower Logs were maintained in the Control Tower for every day of operations during the war. Valuable information regarding weather, general field conditions, and mission takeoff and landing details are included. The logs have been scanned one day at a time and organized into simple tables by month and year (see below). We have only one entry for 1942 due to damage to the original logs. Almost all pages suffered water damage to the extent they are not readable. Some logs exist up until September 1945. 306th veteran Bill Carlile, who provided the logs, left in October 1945 as the war was over and thus we have none after 7 September 1945.

1942 (1 of 3 months)

1943 (7 of 12 months)

The per-month log pages are rendered in their original 1990s markup. The 306th BGHA may rebuild those sub-hubs in a future session.
